We specialise in providing food safety, health & safety, enforcement and training support to UK local authorities. We can provide short or long-term assistance but aim to build lasting partnerships with our clients. Our assistance can take the form of placements, project work or long term contracts.
 We are a business owned and run by environmental health practitioners committed to improving public health.
Colin Hamer, our founder, is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner dedicated to developing and improving the environmental health profession. As a former member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Education unit he was actively involved in raising the standards of Environmental Health New Professionals and is always pleased to help new entrants into the profession.
Food Safety and Health & safety
We food and health & safety specialists and all of our associate practitioners are able to offer a wealth of enforcement experience.
We will only provide staff that are appropriately qualified (EHRB registered EHPs or TOs with ordinary or higher certificates in food premises inspection) and with at least 3 years post qualification experience.
All associates are required to demonstrate at least 10 hours of appropriate CPD per year and all are regularly monitored to ensure consistency.
Case Studies

We provided long-term health & safety inspection support for a London authority following an HSE audit and for more than a year effectively was the health & safety team undertaking inspections of a the full range of premises and building a database of premises where none had existed before.

We have had a series of annually renewed contracts, over a period of more than 5 years with a south east local authority.Within these contracts we have carried out food inspections from risk category A to E andrevisits.
We undertake all types of enforcement including service of notices and prosecution. In the past 3 years we have undertaken three successful prosecutions.
We have taken on the approval of specialist food premises both in dairy and meat products.
We lead training on behalf of the authority to CIEH Level 2 and 3. In addition we have provided "in house" training to environmental health staff.
We have direct access to the authorities database from our offices from where we maintain premises records and produce letters notices etc.

We have had a long-term food safety contract with this Kent local authority.
We carried out all the food hygiene inspections from risk category B to E, all of the revisits.
We organised and maintained a flourishing Clean Food Award scheme and undertook CIEH Level 2 Food Safety training on behalf of the authority.
We had direct access to the authority's database from our own offices and update premises records and send out letters directly.
